About Our Theatres

The idea of going to live theatre is time tested. It’s a throwback notion that gathering with friends and neighbors contributes to a higher quality of life. And in our opinion, it truly does.

Located in a distinctive and historic downtown South Bend building, echoes of the past resonate while excitement and energy of contemporary theatre builds. It’s a feeling beyond words, but it can be felt the instant you walk through our doors.

The South Bend Civic Theatre houses both the Wilson Theatre and Warner Theatre and is located on Main Street in downtown South Bend. The Wilson Theatre, under the dome at SBCT, is a striking 200-seat venue for large shows – musicals, classic comedies and drama.

The Warner Theatre features contemporary and cutting-edge plays and offers multiple configurations for 70 seats.

The Firehouse Theatre, located on Portage Avenue in South Bend, was actually SBCT’s first home, and is a venue for alternative performances, including cabaret concerts, improv comedy, poetry slams and other special events. This wonderful, intimate facility seats 50. The Firehouse also serves as the home base for SBCT’s Education Program.
