Theatre for Young Audiences FIELD TRIPS

South Bend Civic Theatre’s Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) program is a vibrant and creative force in the lives of Michiana’s children and families (whether from area schools, homeschool groups, or community outreach programming), with a history of more than 60 years.

South Bend Civic Theatre TYA produces a series of developmentally appropriate shows each season. These productions are dedicated to cultivating curiosity, improving self-esteem, and helping our young people become more conscious and compassionate citizens of tomorrow. We are committed to providing dynamic theatrical experiences for EVERYONE. SBCT’s discounted ticket program provides reduced cost tickets to any school under the status of Title 1.

The TYA series is meant to be a spectacular and immersive first look at the power of theatre, utilizing all that SBCT has to offer. Our TYA season is chosen with an eye to the needs of school curriculum and the needs of our community. Examples include Charlie and the Chocolate FactoryFlat StanleySeussical the Musical, and Sideway Stories from Wayside School.
