WHAT'S HAPPENING AT THE CIVIC?

JOE TURNER'S COME AND GONE

Set in 1911 Pittsburgh, boarding house owners Seth and Bertha Holly host a makeshift family of people during the Great Migration in this August Wilson Century Cycle production.

PERFORMANCE AT JOHN ADAMS HIGH SCHOOL

A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC | March 11-27

Set in the Swedish countryside at the turn of the century. This production brings together surprising liaisons and long simmering passions. A witty and wildly  romantic story centers on the elegant actress Disiree Armfeldt and the spider's web of sensuality, intrigue, and desire that surrounds her.

DISNEY'S NEWSIES | March 25-April 2

Based on the real newsboy strike of 1899 and Disney's 1992 film, Jack Kelly dreams of a better life far from the hardship of the streets. When his bosses raise distribution prices, Jack fights for and rallies his army of newsies to strike.

NOISES OFF | April 22- May 1

Called "the funniest farce ever written," this production presents a manic menagerie of itinerant actors rehearsing a flop called "Nothing's On." Doors slamming, on and off stage intrigue, and an errant herring enhance the plot of this classic comic play.

THE LONESOME WEST | May 13-22

In this dark Irish comedy, two brothers in rural Ireland squabble over their father's inheritance. A local parish priest and a young girl, along with their bootleg whiskey supplier, attempt to keep the brothers from quarreling.
