The following policies are subject to periodic review and will remain in place until further notice. As has been the case, the CIVIC will continue to discuss our COVID plans and policies with the St. Joseph County Health Department. We will incorporate any new guidelines as recommended.
To be fully transparent, we are announcing these updates to our COVID policy so that our CIVIC family is aware of our measures to keep them safe at our events.
Due to the highly contagious and highly asymptomatic nature of the Omicron variant, we are making the following changes to our COVID policy.
All patrons are required to wear a mask.
Patrons 5-years-old and over must provide proof* of vaccination at all CIVIC events. Individuals under 5-years-old are asked to remain at home at this time to keep the transmission of COVID to a minimum.
CIVIC Staff Members are required to be fully vaccinated and masked.
CIVIC volunteers are required to be fully vaccinated and masked.
Masks are required at all times except when performing on stage.
COVID Exposure Procedures:
If a volunteer or staff member exhibits COVID symptoms or is exposed to COVID, they must provide the theatre with a negative COVID test before returning to the CIVIC.
If a volunteer or staff member tests positive for COVID, they must immediately alert the theatre so that contact tracing may be conducted.
CIVIC contact tracing will require all exposed volunteers and staff to be tested. If additional positive tests are discovered, measures will be taken to ensure the safety of all up to and including the postponement of a production.
*Proof of vaccination includes presenting the actual card or digital/photo proof of vaccination.
